It all started when. . .
The Flickering Light was founded in March of 2009 by Sara Zia Ebrahimi. Her vision was to bring independent and international films to her much loved neighborhood of Mt. Airy for an affordable price, and to market these films beyond the traditional festival going audiences. In 2010 Joanna Poses joined as a co-programmer for the series.
